Translations: Painting and Poetry

Translations: Painting and Poetry was a joint exhibit with Jerry McLaughlin exhibit held at Jennifer Perlmutter Gallery in February 2020. My paintings for the show are based on the work of the Irish poet, Seamus Heaney. The somewhat spare, geometric imagery emerged after immersing myself in two of his works--the long poem, Squarings, and St. Kevin and the Blackbird.
